QA Tester

Role: QA Tester

Location: Nottinghamshire

Working Arrangement:  2 days a week in the office.

Salary:  Up to £43k depending on experience

We’re looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and enjoys working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure products perform reliably across multiple platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for writing, executing, and maintaining both functional and non-functional test cases covering new and existing functionality across web, mobile, desktop applications, and APIs. You will carry out thorough regression testing to ensure that new changes do not impact existing features, while also reviewing testing activities and plans created by colleagues to maintain high standards across the team.

You will play an active role in building and maintaining test automation, creating front-end and API automation scripts using a Playwright framework with TypeScript. You will also develop and maintain JavaScript-based API automation within a shared Postman environment. Alongside this, you will produce and maintain clear testing documentation and follow established team and project processes while helping identify improvements to testing practices. Collaboration is a key part of the role, and you will work closely with testers, developers, and project stakeholders while participating in refinement sessions, sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.

To succeed in this role, you will have an excellent understanding of testing web applications, including user interfaces, APIs, cross-browser compatibility, and general web standards. You will have experience with API testing and a strong understanding of testing processes and methodologies. Attention to detail is essential, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think creatively when identifying potential issues. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills are also important, both written and verbal, with the confidence to participate in meetings and contribute ideas. You will be someone who builds strong working relationships, influences positively within a team, and remains open to learning and developing new skills as technologies and processes evolve.

From a technical perspective, you should have experience working with web browsers and integrated browser development tools, database management tools, API clients such as Postman, and Microsoft Office. Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps (including Test Plans), Azure Data Studio or SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Code, Fiddler or Burp Suite, and integrated development environments such as Visual Studio would be beneficial. Experience with performance or load testing tools such as JMeter would also be advantageous.

Additional desirable experience includes holding an ISTQB Foundation Level certification (or equivalent industry-recognised qualification), an understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and project management practices, and experience developing or maintaining automated front-end and API test scripts. Awareness of web accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines, knowledge of software security principles and best practices, familiarity with AI tools and prompt-based workflows, experience testing native mobile applications, and an understanding of load and performance testing methodologies would also be valuable.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy, fast-moving tech environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive team. The ideal person will be curious, motivated, and naturally interested in understanding how systems work. You will be comfortable adapting to change, remain calm under pressure, and be eager to continue learning and growing within your role. A positive, approachable personality is key, along with the confidence to contribute in team discussions while also listening and learning from others.

You will take pride in producing high-quality work, paying close attention to detail and following processes carefully while remaining open to new ideas and improvements. Being reliable, consistent, and able to take direction when needed will help you succeed, while also bringing your own ideas and creative thinking to problem-solving and process improvements.

Design Systems Lead

Role:  Design Systems Lead

Location:  Sheffield

Working Model:  Hybrid – 2 days a week in the office

Salary:  Up to £70,000 Dependent on experience

Build the system that powers everything else.

This role is for someone who loves creating order, clarity, and momentum at scale.

As a Design Systems Lead, you’ll take ownership of an established (or evolving) design system and shape it into something teams genuinely rely on. Your work will sit at the intersection of design and engineering, creating the foundations that help products ship faster, stay consistent, and scale with confidence.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role where your decisions will influence how designers design and how engineers build.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing, building, and maintaining a design system that spans both design and code
  • Creating reusable components, patterns, and guidelines in Figma
  • Defining and managing design tokens (colour, spacing, typography, motion)
  • Working closely with engineers to ensure design components map cleanly to coded components
  • Setting clear standards for accessibility, responsiveness, and theming
  • Producing clear documentation so teams know when and how to use the system
  • Reducing UI and design decision fatigue so teams can move faster
  • Evolving the system as the product, team, and complexity grow

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to have done everything, but you must have real experience owning a design system.

  • Proven experience designing, scaling, or maintaining a design system in a product environment
  • Expert-level Figma skills (components, variants, variables)
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend development and component-based architectures (e.g. React)
  • Experience partnering closely with engineers on shared component models
  • A product-led mindset — you design to solve real problems, not just to make things look good
  • Comfort working in complex, data-heavy products
  • A solid grounding in user-centred design and evidence-based decision making

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • Hands-on experience contributing to or implementing a coded design system
  • Familiarity with tools like Storybook, Tailwind, or token-based theming
  • Background in B2B, industrial, or technically complex products

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Salary: Up to £70,000 plus OTE

This is a role for someone who wants to build something that lasts.

You’ll join a growing B2B SaaS business focused on helping leaders make better decisions over time. The platform is built for long term impact, not short-term wins. Insight comes before action. Trust matters. Delivery has to match what is sold.

They are now looking for a Head of Sales to design and lead a commercial function that scales properly. This is not about chasing numbers at any cost. It is about building a disciplined, credible sales operation that increases revenue and strengthens customer relationships.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Owning the full sales function and commercial strategy
  • Defining how the business targets, qualifies, and converts customers
  • Making customer expansion a core growth driver
  • Protecting pricing, margins, and deal quality
  • Building and coaching a small team of Business Development Managers
  • Creating clear, repeatable sales processes and enablement
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data, forecasting, and pipeline visibility
  • Working closely with Product, Delivery, Marketing, and Leadership

What success looks like

  • A predictable and healthy pipeline

  • Consistent conversion rates and renewals
  • A clear, trusted sales operating system in place

How the team works

  • Evidence first, action second

What we’re looking for

  • Experience leading a B2B or SaaS sales function
  • A strong background in consultative selling
  • Proven ability to build repeatable sales processes
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and CEOs
  • Comfort operating in a growing and evolving business
  • High integrity and sound judgement

Experience in education-related markets, public sector environments, or growth stage businesses would be beneficial but not essential.

If you care about doing sales properly and want to build something credible and sustainable, this role is worth a conversation.

We welcome diverse applicants and are committed to treating all candidates with dignity and respect.

Lead Data Engineer – Azure/Databricks

Role:  Lead Data Engineer – Azure/Databricks

Location:  Sheffield

Working Model:  Hybrid – 2 days per week in person

Salary:  Up to £85k depending on experience

Own the data platform. Shape the future architecture.

This role is for a hands-on data engineering leader who wants to build something properly, not babysit legacy pipelines.

You’ll take full ownership of the data engineering domain, leading the design and building of a modern, highly scalable data platform that handles complex, high-frequency industrial data. You’ll work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and senior leadership, with the trust and mandate to make meaningful architectural decisions.

If you enjoy balancing strong engineering principles with real-world business needs, and you like mentoring others while staying deeply technical, this role is built for you.

What you’ll be working on

  • Architecting and rebuilding the data transformation layer in Databricks
  • Designing robust data flows that support both real-time operational views and deep historical analysis
  • Moving pipelines from ad-hoc scripts to software-engineering standards (CI/CD, testing, modular design)
  • Defining clear data models, schemas, and standards across a complex data estate
  • Establishing a stable, high-performance serving layer for analytics, visualisation, and data science workloads
  • Working closely with data scientists to remove bottlenecks and enable better modelling and experimentation
  • Pair-programming, mentoring, and raising the engineering bar for a small, capable team

You won’t just be delivering features; you’ll be setting direction.

The tech you’ll work with

  • Core: Azure, Databricks, Python, SQL, dbt, MQTT
  • Storage & Serving: Delta Lake, Postgres, TimescaleDB
  • Modelling & ML: MLflow
  • Visualisation: Grafana

What makes you a great fit

You’re someone who can zoom out to architecture and zoom in to code, comfortably.

  • Proven experience building and owning data platforms on Azure
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of Databricks (lakehouse architecture, cluster management, performance and cost optimisation)
  • Strong opinions on data modelling, schema design, and standardisation
  • You treat data pipelines as software: version control, CI/CD, automated testing
  • Comfortable challenging architectural decisions, and explaining why
  • Able to translate technical trade-offs into business impact for non-technical stakeholders
  • A mentor by nature: you raise the team through pairing, guidance, and example

Industry experience

  • Experience with industrial, sensor-driven, or time-series data is highly desirable
  • Alternatively, background in high-volume or highly variable data environments (missing data, duplicates, schema drift, spiky load) will transfer well

Why you’ll want this role

  • Real autonomy: You’re trusted to make architectural calls, that’s why you’re being hired
  • Visible impact: Your work directly unlocks better analytics and machine learning outcomes
  • Modern problems: You’ll work on advanced data patterns and architectures, not cosmetic refactors
  • Still technical: This is a leadership role without stepping away from code

What you’ll get

  • 5 weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays
  • Tax-efficient stock options
  • Company pension scheme
  • Salary sacrifice EV scheme
  • Training and professional development support
  • Regular all-hands sessions with real transparency
  • Hybrid working (2 days in person)
  • Quarterly employee recognition awards

  • Team collaboration and knowledge-sharing capabilities are very necessary
  • Experience in monitoring resources in Azure, either using log analytics or similar technologies.

Location: Split between Congleton & Nottingham

Salary: £40k-55k + Bonus + Overtime + Benefits

Are you a skilled PLC Control Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is a rare opportunity to join a business in the middle of an exciting transformation, moving from legacy PLC-heavy systems to a next-generation, market-leading control solution.

You’ll play a vital role in both supporting and maintaining legacy PLC systems during the migration period and then become a key contributor to the rollout and support of cutting-edge automation software used by leading manufacturers.

Why This Role?

  • Be part of a transition journey – support existing PLC systems while stepping into next-gen projects that leverage function blocks and advanced SCADA solutions.
  • Unique mentorship opportunity – work closely with an experienced PLC engineer (approaching retirement) in Congleton, while collaborating with a dynamic team of Control Engineers in Nottingham.
  • Project ownership & variety – from design and programming to commissioning and customer-facing problem solving, no two days will be the same.
  • Cutting-edge innovation – exposure to projects that embrace new technology, including AI-driven development workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, configure and commission automation solutions for a diverse customer base.
  • Maintain and enhance legacy PLC software solutions.
  • Write and test PLC programs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi).
  • Work directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver functional designs.
  • Commission and install systems on site (UK-based, with occasional overseas travel).
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices and disciplines to deliver high-impact results.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced PLC Engineer – at least 5+ years as a Maintenance Engineer or Shift Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong PLC skills – hands-on programming experience with Allen Bradley and either Siemens (TIA Portal/Simatic Manager) or Mitsubishi PLCs.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and Windows Server/PCs.
  • A confident communicator who thrives in customer-facing roles.
  • A problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and adapting to varied environments.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility for on-site commissioning (including some weekends and occasionally overseas)

Desirable but not essential: Electrical engineering background, programming experience (C/C++/C#), SQL Server database knowledge.

  • Salary starting from £40,000 + overtime for commissioning & support.
  • Annual bonus opportunity.
  • 6% pension contribution.
  • 22 days holiday (rising to 25 with service).
  • Flexible salary sacrifice schemes (cars, bikes, tech).
  • A chance to future-proof your career by moving from legacy PLC systems into next-gen control engineering.

This is more than just a PLC role, it’s your chance to step into a pivotal position, learn from the best, and play a hands-on role in shaping the future of automation.

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.
