Job type: Full Time

Lead DevSecOps Engineer

Role: Lead DevSecOps Engineer

Location:  Nottingham

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working policy of twice per week in the office, ideally, or remote, depending on how far away you live

Salary: Up to £70k plus benefits

You’re a Senior DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer who has come from an infrastructure background, seeing the transition from traditional infrastructure and networking to more cloud-based solutions. You are someone who loves to automate mundane tasks, make scalable, highly available, and robust solutions, and ensure whatever you’re working on is secure, through things like vulnerability scanning, threat analysis, and patching, which is high on your priority list.

Whilst you love new shiny tech and always make a point of having a play around with the latest and greatest, you are a pragmatic person who knows that the best tool for the job might not be the latest buzzword- you know that sometimes you can’t beat the tried and tested methods!

Tech-wise, you can’t get enough of Kubernetes, you are a big Linux fan, and have been using a host of Cloud and DevOps tools like Helm, Ansible, and AWS/GCP/OCI/Azure etc, for some time and, more recently have added in some Terraform, GitOps and Argo CD to your arsenal, and you have a great time playing around and seeing what you can do with them. You probably run a home server and have a whale of a time building home automations, with a nerdy project on the go to test out some of the myriad new technologies out there!

If this describes you, read on: this is your next role!

In this role, you’ll be a senior member of a platform team, which is made up of a mix of differing levels of engineers who will surely benefit from your technical DevOps knowledge- you’ll be the sole DevOps person in the company so you’ll be driving the company’s DevOps tech strategy and direction, but please note that there is no management as part of this role.

Being fully hands-on keyboard, you will be making key improvements to the security and efficiency of a just-released product and, further down the line, there’s scope for you to get involved in R&D and Proof of Concept (POC) projects.

You’ll be using the tech mentioned above- Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI, etc.

Whilst you’ll use AWS and potentially OCI/GCP/Azure for some parts of your role, you’ll also be working with private cloud and on-prem models, too, due to the nature of the sensitive work they do and the customers they serve.

Working here will see you working on some very cool products that help the defence, government, and other critical infrastructure sectors to do their important work without interference from bad actors. Due to the nature of what you’ll be making, you’ll need to be eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance.

If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, please apply now or get in touch to find out more!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Back End .Net Developer

Role: Back End .Net Developer

Location:  Manchester

Working Model:  Co-working space, hybrid working of once per week- ideally Wednesday- in the office.

Salary: £50k plus benefits

You think in systems: you naturally see how things should fit together and are great at building the solution, too.

Breaking down a monolith into a service-based, distributed architecture is something you’ve had experience of doing and understand what ‘good’ looks like…and what not so good looks like too!

You’d love to move into the tech4good space and put your technical skills to good use by helping us and the planet to be more sustainable.

If this sounds like you, read on- this is the one for you!

Working with a small tech4good company in the EV space, with a co-working space in Manchester, I am looking for you —a back-end .NET Developer who is talented, enthusiastic, and curious.

They have 3 engineering teams with around 4-5 developers in each, and split out the back-end and front responsibilities, leaving you to concentrate on just the backend in this role.

You’ll be going into their Platform team and will be working with a range of tech, including C#, .Net 8+, APIs (including public APIs, they’re moving to a headless platform), Domain Driven Design (DDD), and helping them to move from a monolith to a service-based, distributed architecture that has scalability built in with Azure and various services like service bus and event grid.

You’ll need to have a few years of commercial experience with the tech above, be eager to learn as much as you can, and to contribute to a great team. Whilst it’s important for you to be a good technical fit, it’s just as- if not more- needed for you to have a good, upbeat disposition and self-awareness- knowing what you don’t know, being comfortable asking for help if/when you need it, and looking to collaborate and share knowledge to make sure the whole team is pulled in the same direction and share in the team’s wins together.

Whilst there are seniors for you to learn from here, please bear in mind that it’s a small company, so everyone gets involved. If you thrive best in a well-established and heavily structured environment, this might not be the place for you.

If, on the other hand, you want to have a wide view of the company as a whole and love variety in your role, this is going to be a fun time for you!

If this sounds great to you, apply now for immediate consideration or drop me a line to find out more!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer (C#, SQL) – Incident Support Team

Up to £70,000 + Generous On-Call Allowance

Remote-First | UK-Based | Full-Time | Permanent

Are you a hands-on software engineer with a knack for solving complex problems and a passion for system reliability?

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Incident Support) to join a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team that powers critical technology in the utilities space. You’ll play a vital role in incident management, using your technical skills to resolve, prevent, and learn from system issues—while also contributing clean, high-quality code as part of a modern Agile squad.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Contribute to the design, development, and refinement of features and services using C#, SQL, JavaScript, and React.
  • Support your team with mentoring, peer reviews, and continuous technical improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, analysing logs, data, and reports from the service desk.
  • Work closely with engineering leadership and product owners to prioritise incidents and drive preventative measures.
  • Take ownership of observability strategies—monitoring standards, alerting practices, and visibility improvements.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across disciplines to support efficient delivery and operational excellence.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • No immediate on-call: You won’t join the on-call rota right away. You’ll be given time to settle in, learn the systems, and contribute meaningfully before taking on out-of-hours responsibilities.
  • Realistic expectations: The incident volume in this area is low, and when on-call does begin, it’s shared fairly across a team of experienced engineers.
  • On-Call Allowance (Once Live)
  • £200 monthly retainer, fixed £60 per incident plus up to x2 your hourly rate to deal with any incidents.
  • Time-critical response expectations apply when on call: respond to alerts within SLAs, be contactable by phone, and be able to access your work laptop within 30 minutes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in incident management and technical support alongside software delivery.
  • Solid knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, and React.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to triage and troubleshoot real-time issues.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery, DevOps culture, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Benefits Snapshot

While the team is remote-first, the culture is built around connection, learning, and growth. You’ll benefit from:

  • Remote-first work culture with flexibility to support work-life balance.
  • Generous holiday allowance and supportive policies around wellbeing.
  • Company-wide development opportunities, mentorship, and learning communities.
  • A positive, people-first environment where your voice matters and your impact is recognised.

If you’re someone who thrives under pressure but also loves clean, well-structured code—and you’re looking for a company that balances innovation with care for its people—this could be your ideal next step

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Senior Software Engineer

Role: Senior Software Engineer – .Net, Angular, Azure

Location:  Office in Bedfordshire

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office per week

Salary: Up to £80k plus great benefits, including enhanced pension and 35 hour working week

You’ve been looking for a great company that’s financially stable, with a lot of interesting work to do, with modern tech, that you can throw yourself into and use your skills to their fullest.

You want to be around people physically, some of the week, to collaborate and to feel a part of something bigger than yourself.

If this describes you, read on; this could be the one for you.

A great little company, of around 10 people, in Bedfordshire, are building out a new engineering team, and you could be a part of it. They are a Microsoft house, so their tech stack is centered around C#, .Net 8+, Azure, TypeScript, and Angular.

I am looking for someone who is the full package- not only a superb software engineer, skilled in the above technologies, who loves to create efficient, elegant, and well-documented technical solutions, but also who is a great person to be around- a real team player who is naturally curious, takes the initiative, and wants to pitch in wherever they can whilst maintaining and advocating for best practice and high coding standards.

They are, as a company, about to undertake a huge migration project to bring their technical estate back in-house, from a 3rd party. This will span across all areas of the business and will keep everyone busy for a long while! Don’t worry, though. Once this is completed, there will be lots of other projects, products, and solutions to be made, so you’ll not be bored here.

As you can imagine, big projects like this need short feedback loops and lots of collaboration, which is often easier to do when everyone is in the same place, so a hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office is there to facilitate that.

This is a great role for you to really use all your skills on some fab projects, in a fun environment with friendly, talented people. If you’re looking to make your mark at a company, shape how things are done, and have a voice, this is the place for you.

If this sounds right up your street, get in touch now or apply for immediate consideration!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.
