Senior React Engineer

Role: Senior React Engineer

Location:  Work from anywhere in the UK – Manchester, London, Scotland, Newport Pagnell…it really doesn’t matter.

Package:  £75k–£100k + healthcare + 25 days holiday + excellent work perks.

Let’s be honest: not every job is about building the next social media app or chasing the latest tech buzzword.

But what if your code could actually help save lives?

Imagine this: You’re part of a company that’s been quietly supporting the NHS and healthcare sector for over a decade, building software that keeps patients safe and helps care homes, practices, and hospitals run smoothly.

It might not sound “sexy” on the surface, but under the hood, it’s genuinely life-changing work.

Now, they’re on the brink of something big. We’ve got a stable, cash-rich business, private equity backing, and a bold plan to quadruple impact in the next four years.

That means modernising everything: moving from Angular to React, .NET to .NET Core/Azure, and building a tech team ready for the future.

This is where you come in.

We’re looking for a Senior React Engineer who’s done the hard yards…someone who’s capable of leading a team (not line managing, but guiding) through a major front-end transformation, who’s got scars, stories, and strong opinions, and who’s ready to mentor others on the journey.

You’ll be the subject matter expert, the go-to for all things React, and a key player in shaping how they build, scale, and deliver software that genuinely matters. You’ll help upskill the team, challenge the status quo, and make sure they’re not just following a plan, but building the right one.

What’s in it for you?

  • Real influence and seniority – be at the heart of a major tech transformation, not just another cog in the machine.
  • Real impact: Your work will help the NHS and care providers save lives and improve patient safety.
  • Growth: They’re scaling fast, with ambitious plans and the investment to make them happen.
  • Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the UK, with a team that values results and trust.
  • No corporate fluff: they’re a friendly, down-to-earth bunch who care about what they do and the people they work with.

What are they looking for?

  • Deep expertise in React and best practices, ideally with experience leading migrations from other frameworks (Angular, Vue, etc.).
  • Expertise in accessibility, internationalization, and localization with React
  • Strong all-round knowledge of modern front-end/JavaScript ecosystem and tools
  • Knowledge of unit and web testing using tools
  • A track record of mentoring and upskilling teams.
  • Experience in smaller, scaling businesses or ambitious SMEs (not just big corporates).
  • A passion for building software that makes a difference.

If you want to be part of a company where your work matters, where you’ll have a real say in how things are done, and where you can help shape the future of healthcare tech, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us your CV, or just Google us for a chat.

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Software Engineering Manager

Role: Hands-on Software Engineering Manager

Location: Lincoln, 5 days per week on-site

Salary: Up to £80k plus benefits

Keywords: C++, Radio Frequency/ RF, Defence

You’re probably the nerdiest person you know, IRL.

Your personal and professional interests have interwoven beautifully, and you get paid to do really cool stuff with software and sensors- you love it!

You’ve spent the last few years in the defence sector, using C++ and playing around with radio frequency tech, and feel ready to take all your knowledge and skill and apply it in a role with a company that’s got some fab projects to get stuck into, and big growth plans.

There is always more to learn, bigger problems to solve, and new tech to master!

If this sounds like you, read on, dear reader- this is what you’ve been waiting for…

Working with a small-but-growing company in the heart of Lincoln, I am looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to join them for the first phase of a 3-year growth plan they’ve got: genuinely exciting times for them!

You’ll either be someone who has been in a leadership/managerial role for a few years or a senior engineer who is itching to make the move up the ladder into a leadership role.

In this role, you’ll be leading a small team of 4 software engineers, and will be hands-on too, so your time will be split between these two responsibilities- the tech you’ll be using will centre around C++ and Radio Frequency tech- understanding the telemetry and physics behind it, all for the defence sector. You will get to help design and deliver software solutions, work with cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders, too.

In terms of leadership, you’ll mentor your team, advise on best practices, do code reviews with your team, participate in and lead 2-weekly Agile sprints, estimate deadlines, etc.

As the company is looking to more than double in size over the next few years, career progression is baked into this role- as the company grows, so too will your remit, responsibilities, and remuneration.

If this sounds like a great role for you, please apply now for immediate consideration, or drop me a line to find out more!

Back End .Net Developer

Role: Back End .Net Developer

Location:  Manchester

Working Model:  Co-working space, hybrid working of once per week- ideally Wednesday- in the office.

Salary: £50k plus benefits

You think in systems: you naturally see how things should fit together and are great at building the solution, too.

Breaking down a monolith into a service-based, distributed architecture is something you’ve had experience of doing and understand what ‘good’ looks like…and what not so good looks like too!

You’d love to move into the tech4good space and put your technical skills to good use by helping us and the planet to be more sustainable.

If this sounds like you, read on- this is the one for you!

Working with a small tech4good company in the EV space, with a co-working space in Manchester, I am looking for you —a back-end .NET Developer who is talented, enthusiastic, and curious.

They have 3 engineering teams with around 4-5 developers in each, and split out the back-end and front responsibilities, leaving you to concentrate on just the backend in this role.

You’ll be going into their Platform team and will be working with a range of tech, including C#, .Net 8+, APIs (including public APIs, they’re moving to a headless platform), Domain Driven Design (DDD), and helping them to move from a monolith to a service-based, distributed architecture that has scalability built in with Azure and various services like service bus and event grid.

You’ll need to have a few years of commercial experience with the tech above, be eager to learn as much as you can, and to contribute to a great team. Whilst it’s important for you to be a good technical fit, it’s just as- if not more- needed for you to have a good, upbeat disposition and self-awareness- knowing what you don’t know, being comfortable asking for help if/when you need it, and looking to collaborate and share knowledge to make sure the whole team is pulled in the same direction and share in the team’s wins together.

Whilst there are seniors for you to learn from here, please bear in mind that it’s a small company, so everyone gets involved. If you thrive best in a well-established and heavily structured environment, this might not be the place for you.

If, on the other hand, you want to have a wide view of the company as a whole and love variety in your role, this is going to be a fun time for you!

If this sounds great to you, apply now for immediate consideration or drop me a line to find out more!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Role: Senior Software Engineer – .Net, Angular, Azure

Location:  Office in Bedfordshire

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office per week

Salary: Up to £80k plus great benefits, including enhanced pension and 35 hour working week

You’ve been looking for a great company that’s financially stable, with a lot of interesting work to do, with modern tech, that you can throw yourself into and use your skills to their fullest.

You want to be around people physically, some of the week, to collaborate and to feel a part of something bigger than yourself.

They are, as a company, about to undertake a huge migration project to bring their technical estate back in-house, from a 3rd party. This will span across all areas of the business and will keep everyone busy for a long while! Don’t worry, though. Once this is completed, there will be lots of other projects, products, and solutions to be made, so you’ll not be bored here.

As you can imagine, big projects like this need short feedback loops and lots of collaboration, which is often easier to do when everyone is in the same place, so a hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office is there to facilitate that.

This is a great role for you to really use all your skills on some fab projects, in a fun environment with friendly, talented people. If you’re looking to make your mark at a company, shape how things are done, and have a voice, this is the place for you.
