Role: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Nottingham, Up to fully remote working depending on what you’d prefer. Some people never go in, and some go in on Mondays and Wednesdays, but it’s not mandatory whatsoever!
Salary: up to £85,000 plus great benefits
You’re a great AWS Cloud Engineer (or DevOps Engineer/ SRE/ Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, etc.). You have loads of experience in different industries, and you now want to apply that to a super interesting role in a relatively niche sector SaaS company helping to reduce the world’s carbon footprint.

You’ll be working alongside the Head of Cloud Engineering to support their production cloud platforms for several critical applications.
This will include liaising with the wider team: IT Manager for Azure AD integrations, QA, and especially the dev team which will see you helping them with any technical issues they have with their dev environments and/or integrating with new cloud services that support new and existing projects, and to ensure that all procedures and processes are documented, tested, and ready for production release.
Security is an important part of this role and, as such, you’ll be using Synk – a container security assessment tool- to manage base images, and AWS Security Hub to address any issues that arise in production environments.
Tech-wise, here’s what you’ll be using, and so will need experience with for this role:
AWS services, preferably including:
- Dynamo DB: EC2: Aurora PostgreSQL: CloudWatch: SQS queues: Security Hub, IAM, Lambdas, etc.
- Unix/Linux, including BASH scripting
- CI/CD environments
- AWS platform security utilizing CIS and AWS security frameworks
- Great documentation of processes/procedures
- Jira
- Snyk
- Ideally, you have one or more of the following certifications:
- AWS – DevOps Engineer
- AWS – Solution Architect Professional / Associate
