Role: Lead QA Engineer – Finance Systems (SaaS Platform)
Location: Nottingham

Working Arrangement: Hybrid – Once a month in the office

Salary: Up to £65,000

My client is looking for a Lead QA Engineer to take ownership of quality within their Finance Systems domain — leading the QA strategy, automation frameworks, and quality processes for a suite of business-critical applications.

This is a hands-on leadership role within a modern Agile environment. You’ll define testing approaches, strengthen automation coverage, and guide your squad through complex releases — ensuring that every deployment is reliable, performant, and production-ready.

What You’ll Be Doing

Acting as the go-to QA Lead for Finance Systems and related products.
Defining and implementing testing strategy, frameworks, and best practices.
Building and maintaining automation test frameworks that support rapid, reliable releases.
Managing and maintaining QA environments that mirror UAT and production conditions.
Driving continuous improvement across people, process, and quality outcomes.
Partnering with senior stakeholders to assess release risk and provide QA sign-off.
Mentoring QA Engineers and contributing to QA guilds and knowledge sharing.
Staying up to date with new tools and technologies, helping evolve the QA function.

What You’ll Bring

Proven experience in API/UI test automation and framework design.
Strong background in Agile QA leadership within SaaS or software product teams.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and microservices architecture.
Solid understanding of programming principles, ideally using C#, .NET, or JavaScript.
Experience with open-source testing tools and cloud-based services (AWS preferred).
Excellent communication and mentoring skills, able to influence and inspire teams.
QA or Agile certifications are advantageous.
