Controls Engineer

Role:  Controls Engineer x 2

Location:  Nottingham

Working Arrangement:  Based in the office 50% of the time with 50% travel

Salary: Competitive

We’re helping a thriving, niche automation and controls business hire 2 new Control Software Engineers to join their growing team. They’re investing in the next generation of engineers – people with a few years’ experience under their belt, but who are hungry to learn, travel, career-focused and want to grow with a company on an upward curve.

The company are open minded about your background – as long as you have worked as a Controls / Automation Engineer for 2 years or more and have a fantastic attitude to learning they will invest in training and getting you up to speed in their industry.

You’ll need:

  • Around 2–5 years of experience writing control software (PLC programming, C)
  • The flexibility and mindset of a “Swiss Army knife” engineer – happy to switch hats as needed
  • A driving licence and a willingness to travel nationally and internationally for customer installs, testing and commissioning

There’s a strong, close-knit team here who support and look out for each other, so you’ll be working in a positive environment under a forward-thinking CEO who is determined to create the right environment to support your development.

Some practical details:

  • Based in the office 50% of the time (Nottingham) with 50% travel
  • Travel will be mainly in the UK, but also the EU, USA, even New Zealand recently
  • £200 per shift for out-of-hours support, on a fair rota system

You’ll need to be up for getting stuck in – sometimes working late on-site, sometimes handling a tricky customer install abroad.

But if you like the sound of being part of a company that recognises and rewards commitment (they just gave a significant raise to one of the team who has only been with them a few months because of his work ethic!), it might be a perfect fit.

Get in touch to find out more – we’re ready to get things moving if you are!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Senior Software Engineer

Role: Senior Software Engineer – .Net, Angular, Azure

Location:  Office in Bedfordshire

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office per week

Salary: Up to £80k plus great benefits, including enhanced pension and 35 hour working week

You’ve been looking for a great company that’s financially stable, with a lot of interesting work to do, with modern tech, that you can throw yourself into and use your skills to their fullest.

You want to be around people physically, some of the week, to collaborate and to feel a part of something bigger than yourself.

If this describes you, read on; this could be the one for you.

A great little company, of around 10 people, in Bedfordshire, are building out a new engineering team, and you could be a part of it. They are a Microsoft house, so their tech stack is centered around C#, .Net 8+, Azure, TypeScript, and Angular.

I am looking for someone who is the full package- not only a superb software engineer, skilled in the above technologies, who loves to create efficient, elegant, and well-documented technical solutions, but also who is a great person to be around- a real team player who is naturally curious, takes the initiative, and wants to pitch in wherever they can whilst maintaining and advocating for best practice and high coding standards.

They are, as a company, about to undertake a huge migration project to bring their technical estate back in-house, from a 3rd party. This will span across all areas of the business and will keep everyone busy for a long while! Don’t worry, though. Once this is completed, there will be lots of other projects, products, and solutions to be made, so you’ll not be bored here.

As you can imagine, big projects like this need short feedback loops and lots of collaboration, which is often easier to do when everyone is in the same place, so a hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office is there to facilitate that.

This is a great role for you to really use all your skills on some fab projects, in a fun environment with friendly, talented people. If you’re looking to make your mark at a company, shape how things are done, and have a voice, this is the place for you.

If this sounds right up your street, get in touch now or apply for immediate consideration!

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Salary: Up to £25k

Do you enjoy digging into details and figuring out how things work? Are you looking to break into a career as a Systems Analyst? If that sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity to get started.

You might be a school leaver, or maybe you’re simply searching for that first step into the world of analysis. What matters most is that you bring strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a solid grasp of Excel. Those are the foundations that will set you up for success in this role.

Full training will be provided, so you don’t need to come in as the finished article. What they’re looking for is someone eager to learn and genuinely interested in developing a career as a Systems Analyst. If you’re curious, motivated, and ready to grow, they’ll help you get there.

So what does a Systems Analyst actually do? You’ll be working within a small team to make sure the estimating system stays in line with all relevant technical certifications. You’ll also be involved in rolling out updates and running system tests to keep everything working smoothly.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Confidence using Excel
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • A bit of SQL knowledge would be a bonus, but it’s not essential

Working Arrangement:  5 days a week in the office

Salary:  Up to £35k depending on experience

Are you just starting out in web development, or maybe a couple of years into your journey? If that sounds like you, keep reading because this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

You’ll be joining a small and supportive team that’s genuinely invested in helping you grow. They’ll encourage you to develop your skills and build your confidence. Ideally, you’ll have already had some exposure to a commercial environment as a web developer and be ready to take the next step.
