CRO Lead

Don’t you just love it when the job advert gets straight to the point? *waves wand*

Role: CRO Lead (click-rate optimization).

Company: One of the most well-known retail brands in the UK

Salary: 50k to 70k per annum

Working model: Hybrid/remote (one day a week in Nottinghamshire or London office)

Benefits: I’m not going to waste too much space here, they have an 8% pension, 33 days inclusive of bank holidays rising to 38 days inclusive of bank holidays after 5 years’ service, there might be a car allowance too, look guys forget benefits, no one takes a job because of the benefits and anyone who did is now regretting it. If you click the below, apply and I can tell you about ALL the benefits.

In the words of senior leadership, “the person who fills this role will most likely become the most valuable person on the .com/digital side of this organization”.

What’s the biggest problem online retailers are facing in the digital era?

Loads of visits, shame about the sales.

This is where you come in.

They are looking for a strategic thinker not scared to pave the way as a one-man (or woman) band willing to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in with plans to start growing the CRO team next year. If you are someone looking for career progression, this would be a good foot in the door with a household name.

So let’s get on to the nerdy stuff then, what are the ideal skills required:

✊  Ability to influence change and work cross-functionally without line management responsibilities.

✊  You’ve scaled product programs before with a clear positive impact/output on revenue, and you’re bloody good at it too.

✊  You’re a strategic thinker with a commercial edge.

✊  A/B testing and MVTs are your bread and butter

✊  You can build tests, monitor them and feedback analysis of outcomes.

✊  You are not scared to “fail forwards”.

✊  You dream of Google Optimize/Analytics in your sleep.

✊  Once you get on Contentsquare (or equivalent) you’re in your element.

✊  You can read and code in front-end HTML/CSS and Javascript with ease

Well, what are you waiting for?

If it weirdly sounds specific to you (or not) I’d love to hear from you!

Business Development Manager

Job title: Business Development Manager

Salary: Up to £45k + double OTE (uncapped)

Location: Guildford office, remote working

You’ve been in this space for a few years now, and you’ve reaped the financial rewards.

Consulting with prospects and providing the best solutions to meet their needs, is what you do.

But something isn’t quite right.

Perhaps it’s the environment, maybe it’s the product – but you’re now looking for something with a bigger purpose, somewhere you can progress and develop for years to come.

Well, I’m working with a multinational company solving talent challenges across the world. They’re helping to shape our future leaders by designing and delivering the most prestigious talent management, assessment, and development solutions for companies, large and small.

As a BDM, your time will be split between managing existing accounts and winning new business, so whilst you need to be proactive in generating new opportunities, you’ll be exercising your relationship management skills with your current customers, too!

Their marketing team will give you a helping hand in pushing leads your way, and you’ll be responsible for deeply qualifying a prospect’s requirements and understanding their challenges around talent management, matching back relevant tools from their vast portfolio of solutions.

With their investment and dedication to individual development, you can expect to progress up the ranks to grow further in your career; their current Head of Business Development started out as a Client Partner and many other BDEs and BDMs have progressed along the way.

To be a part of the fun, you’ll need at least:

  • 2-3 years experience in consultative sales
  • Industry experience in HR/talent management space
  • Experience and skills in writing tenders and proposals

Salary-wise, they’re looking to pay up to £45k basic, but will stretch further for the best, so, if you’re looking for slightly above that, still apply, it will be worth a chat! OTE wise you can expect to earn around £70k to £80k, and this is uncapped, so go forth and make money!

Their HQ is in Guildford, however, they’re super flexible when it comes to remote working and as long as you can travel to the office once a month, and for ad-hoc offsite meetings with clients, you’ll be grand!

I have way more good stuff to share, so, if this sounds like you, hit apply

Let’s talk about your new job.

Software Engineer

Role:  Software Engineer

Location:  Fully remote, UK based

Salary:  Up to 90k (pension, professional development, flexibility, opportunity to use your powers for good and more)

If you are a skilled software engineer with a true passion for doing more for our planet in your next role, please read on!

I’d shout this company’s name from the rooftops if I could. Similar to the other environmentally focused companies and organisations we are lucky enough to collaborate with here at Rebel Sustainability, the company are doing fantastic work in creating data-informed pathways for protecting and restoring nature and its resources, as well as offering its clients the tools to follow through with long term restoration plans.

Whether it’s planting relevant seed species in an area via drone or collecting data about the condition of the soil or invasive weed species and using that for follow-up analysis, the work being done by the team you’d be joining is creating a real lasting impact for biodiversity.

Their priority is finding someone confident with automation and AWS. GCP, Azure and other cloud experience will be considered too as they are open-minded about the technical background they will consider. In the early days, you’ll be working on their CICD and data processing pipelines, refining and implementing high-performance pipelines, so this needs to be something you are comfortable with.

This isn’t a DevOps role, preference will be given to those with strong automation experience and cross-over with DevOps skills.

Their current stack involves AWS, Python/Django, and PostgreSQL, but if you’ve got the automation but little to no Python, that’s fine, as long as you’re willing to pick up new technical skills and arent absolutely wedded to your previous tech stack!

They are looking for a very skilled, passionate software engineer, a generalist who also cares about nature, who loves being in a team and who wants to be a part of taking their products and tools to the wider market, helping them evolve and grow as they continue to expand.

If this sounds like something that aligns with you, please apply. You can call us, email us, cause an electrical surge and short circuit our processes, you name it we will know it’s you!

Lead / Senior Product Owner

Role: Lead / Senior Product Owner

Salary: 50k to 80k per annum (Lead and mid-level role available)

Model: Hybrid/Remote (2/3 times a month into Birmingham HQ)

This one is proving to be a tricky fill.

See, the thing is that the new CPO has been brought into the company to transform their approach to product. He’s joined a company who are flying financially, but one that has bigger plans and wants to adopt best practice across the board to help them scale internationally.

He’s already built a new Product Management function. However, the PO team needed attention so he’s looking for someone experienced who knows what a high-functioning PO team looks like to join him as a Lead/Senior PO.

It’s proven a tricky role as he is really looking for an A-list player. Someone who combines a deep knowledge of product development with a forward-thinking outlook and exceptional people skills.

An offer was made recently to a super-prospect, but they ended up taking another offer, so we are back to the drawing board (luckily for you of course!).

What they liked about this PO was that it was immediately obvious that they were on the right wavelength and could talk about Agile best practices as easily as they could about transforming the culture within product development teams. They also had the leadership potential to help the other POs in the team.

They hold our hopes of finding another such superstar PO!

Naturally, the role will involve the usual PO trimmings such as managing the product backlog (tasks, user stories, Epics etc.), prioritisation, assisting with developing strategy and roadmaps etc.

However, for the senior role, there may also be an opportunity to contribute towards product management if your interest and experience lend themselves well to this function as well.

There is an additional position for a mid-level PO role where leadership skills aren’t so important, so if you have 2-3 years of experience as a PO but aren’t ready for a senior role right now please still apply!

These roles would be great for someone from a technical background who is used to working closely with developers and building great relationships with engineering managers. You don’t necessarily need to be a coder but have a strong understanding of the SDLC. Confidence when it comes to prioritisation and making data-focused decisions is essential.

If SaaS end-to-end product ownership is your bread and butter and you’re feeling rather creeped out by how accurate this advert describes you, I would love to hear from you so I can tell you more about this opportunity!

On offer is a base salary of up to 80k for the Senior/Lead role, and 50k-65k for the mid-level position. In addition, you can expect 25 days of holiday (+ BH), a 5% pension, a health plan and share options.

GreenTech Senior QA Engineer

GreenTech Senior QA Engineer

Location: Remote within the UK

Salary: Up to 65K + equity & benefits, inc wellbeing allowance, pension & more.

Food waste accounts for roughly 8% of all global emissions. Between one-third and half of all food grown never enters a mouth, some rots in fields, some in warehouses, and lots goes furry at home or is sent to landfill.

Leading more sustainable lives isnt hard but changing behaviours can be.

How would you like to make it easy for folks to adapt those troublesome behaviours, with incredible social and environmental benefits?

Were working with a company tackling waste; food waste, furniture, books, equipment, clothing, you get the idea take resources that some people need, where others have plenty and create a space where both sides win.

Theyre already a global success with their web and mobile app live in ~140 countries.

Theyve always been remote and do a lot to ensure their teams are not just succeeding in work but are genuinely happy, rather than overstretched.

Youll be working with a technical team of around 25, growing to around 40 in the coming 12-18 months, where every single person on the team contributes their own ideas, has a shared goal for the platform and most importantly, wants to increase impact.

As a Senior QA Engineer you wont be having bugs, fixes or problems thrown at you. Rather youll be supporting the dev team to improve the quality of their testing, looking at how to automate out human error, contributing toward test strategy for growing to 10 million+ users in 12 months time, with ambitious aims through the rest of this Decade of Action.

Their tech stack includes a lot of Javascript, or Flow to be specific, ReactJS and React Native, Ruby on Rails, AWS with things like EC2, Lambdas, ECS, CICD with Circle CI, Terraform, Docker and more.

Priorities for this role are Javascript automation testing with Cypress, although experience working with React Native, iOS or Android mobile apps will stand out and good experience with exploratory testing is important.

So, youll do the heavy lifting when it comes to the more technical elements of QA, but youll also have a DevOps engineer to lean on and the 3 existing QA Engineers to understand how theyve gotten to where they are and thats certainly not a bad place.

But Im sure you can appreciate when a mobile and web app goes from having 6 million users, to aiming for 10, 20, 30 million users in the near future across global regions and varied infrastructure capabilities, there are some challenges.

So, if youve worked on web and mobile software with large volumes of users, lots of data being shared across systems and a scaling mindset, this one could be a good fit.

Now, the company aim to find people who are genuinely passionate about making our world a better place, theyll want to hear about why and what that means to you, and how youve engaged with the climate crisis or other social issues, but they also appreciate that many issues are systemic and while we have our part to play, that doesnt always mean buying an EV or solar panels.

Digital Analytics Manager

Role: Digital Analytics Manager

Location: Nottinghamshire or London – Hybrid – 1 day per month in either office

Everyone thinks they know Google Analytics right? Even a digitally-endowed monkey can tell you how many visitors you are getting, how long they hang around and which pages get the most eyeballs.

But all of this is old money. The best e-commerce operators know that if you analyse visitor behaviour at a deeper level, using best-of-breed tools, you unlock the doors to conversion heaven and wonderful, glorious, delicious increased revenue.

This. THIS. Is what you get out of bed for!

SQL Support Analyst

Role: SQL Support Analyst

Location: You can be based from home with travel into Warwickshire once a month

Salary: £30k to £38k per annum (plus up to 10% bonus)

Data focused application support analysts, the world is burning and it’s time for you to step in! *cue hero music*

No more FinTech nonsense, no more going into the office every single day or else, no more being pushed around by a boss that doesn’t understand what you do….

“You aren’t doing your computer thingy quick enough…blah…money…blah blah…money”

It’s time to be a part of an organization set up to save the environment, one gram of waste at a time.

How?

By making sure that all the big names are complying with relevant environmental regulations and laws, and providing insights to the wider world about plastic waste.

In a perfect world customers use their software platforms without a hitch. Everything works perfectly and no-one is left wanting for anything.

However, in this cruel world we live in, software doesn’t always work as intended! Or customers have bespoke needs that need to be addressed.

This is where you come in. The hero of the hour (with Sql and Excel muscles rippling through your T-shirt).

Our perfect hero:

LOVES working with data.

Is like a child with tinsel at Christmas when it comes to automation, you want to put it EVERYWHERE.

Says stuff like “Look at these idiots plodding along with manual processes, I could just automate that”.

Falls in love with SQL (T-Sql ideally) more and more each day

Is the best ‘Excel’ person within their family/circle of friends

Ad hoc reporting whilst in the middle of a task makes your blood boil, but you can grit your teeth and get it done rather quickly…with a smile (fake or real, it doesn’t matter)

Can test stuff really well. In fact, you test to such a high degree that you know for a fact once it’s left your hands you know you are never seeing it again because that’s how perfect it is. Mummy would be so proud.

So how much is this hero going to get paid? £30k to £38k per annum (plus up to 10% bonus).

You can be based from home with travel into Warwickshire once a month or so (you’ll need to drive though, as the buses don’t reach this part of the world!).

So, if you want to know more give us a call or apply for a swift reply.

…and if you don’t want to know more then move along and click on the next advert. You’re clearly not the hero I need.

Ouch.

I’m after a Native Android Mobile Developer to join their team, working alongside a lovely native iOS Developer, to add cool new features to their mobile application, predominantly using Kotlin.

You’ll mostly be focussing on the UI / Front End side of the mobile app, as that’s where most of their work to be done is, currently. So, an eye for a good layout and user-friendliness is going to be useful!

Due to the nature of what they do, they use Bluetooth tech, mainly BLE, so any experience or knowledge of this would be great!

They are a small, fun team who gets along well and love what they do. They meet up in the Loughborough office every week and so would love you to come in with the same frequency, too, to keep the community feeling they’ve got going on!

UI/UX Designer

Role: UI/ UX Designer

Location/ working arrangement: Nottingham City Centre office/ hybrid working model- ideally 1 day or more per week in the office

Salary: up to £55k plus benefits including 27 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), 5% pension contribution, healthcare, etc.

Industry: FinTech

Would you love to work in a small team of really lovely, supportive and talented people? Want to be surrounded by people who care about doing things the right way and for the right reasons? Love new tech and want to use the latest and greatest?

Then here you go- your ideal role is here! :D

I’m looking for UI/ UX Designer for a truly wonderful company, that I love recruiting for.

The text above describes them very well; they are a FinTech company who have great financial backing, a great company vibe, latest tech and interesting work.

They are after someone to, in a solo capacity, look after their UI/ UX tasks, including duties such as rapidly prototyping and iterating high-quality, intuitive and mobile-first designs for a cross-platform app, based on user/client feedback and market research, that are easily consumed by the development team, actively carrying out user research and competitor analysis, and looking after the company’s flagship website to make sure it’s attracting prospective clients and customers.

They would really like to see people who have a passion for creating value for their customers, with fabulous practical design skills for things including layout, colour, typography & responsive design (ideally demonstrated through a strong design portfolio). You’ll also have demonstrable experience of techniques and artifacts needed to communicate & deliver effectively , for example; personas, journey maps, wireframes, flows, information architecture, UI designs, prototypes etc. Finally, in terms of tech, they’d love to see experience with using a range of design tools; Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Hotjar etc.

They work in a proper Agile way, so experience and comfort working in this environment are paramount (seems like this shouldn’t be something I shouldn’t have to specify in this day and age, but there are so many companies out there that have adapted Agile so significantly that it’s something akin to FRAgile haha!)

They really do care their people, and so passion, effective communication, and a great attitude for everyone they bring into the company are necessary attributes to have. Enthusiasm, a curious and entrepreneurial nature, and a desire to make the best software in the best way and for the right reasons are paramount in this role.

If this sounds lovely to you, then get in touch or apply now
