The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolving customer account queries and supporting the collection of outstanding third-party debt
  • Assisting with banking administration, including the management of system users, role profiles, and account access
  • Maintaining and updating customer data within the invoicing system
  • Supporting the finance team to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Assisting with audit preparation and documentation requests
  • Preparing management information and finance reports
  • Supporting the team with purchase orders and budget administration

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or finance administration role
  • AAT studying or interested in studying (study support provided)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience supervising colleagues is advantageous but not essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across the group

Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating at both hands-on and board-interaction level
  • Experience in a private equity–backed environment is advantageous but not essential

Financial Controller

You will be reporting directly to the CFO and will support the maintenance and development of financial controls and overseeing financial transactions. You will be involved in bringing management accounts etc back in-house. This is a stand-alone role, and as the business grows you will have the ability to potentially bring on a further member to the team.

You will get involved with all aspects, ranging from management accounts to statutory accounts and VAT returns. You will be a meticulous individual who can communicate well across different teams and with stakeholders.

What experience am I looking for?
