Package: Up to £30k + £2.4k on-call allowance
If you love the thoughts of working for a fast-growing, smaller business where the IT team are like a family and look out for each other, working in a hands-on role and not stuck at the end of a telephone resetting passwords, then this role could be the one for you.
You’ll have a strong Windows, Office 365 and networking background, with either some basic Linux or basic PowerShell experience (both would be awesome) as well as solid general systems admin skills. Any virtualisation (Hyper-V or VMware), Cloud/Azure or VoIP exposure would be awesome, though not essential.
It’s a very busy role, and the day-to-day tasks will most definitely keep you on your toes. You won’t get a chance to be bored here!
Typically, you will be looking after up to 90 users at a time at the company HQ in Nottingham City Centre. It’s a hands-on role so you’ll often be setting up or swapping out hardware such as desktops & keyboards, resolving system issues around Active Directory, Hyper-V and Windows Server and also working with the IT manager to build resilience in their network.
There are plenty of projects for you to get your teeth stuck into so if you like a varied IT role that combines being an IT Technician, support analyst and systems admin then this would fit you really well.
As it is a mission-critical role, you will be based out of the Nottingham City Centre office 5 days a week, so ideally you will be able to get into town using public transport easily.
Every 1 in 4 weeks you will be required to work on-call, however, on most occasions, issues can be resolved over the phone. There is an additional allowance of £2400 annually to compensate for this.
On offer is a basic salary of up to £30k.
If you have worked as a field engineer, systems admin, IT Technician or in IT support and feel you have what it takes to step up into this role then please apply or call us to find out more!
