Position: UX/UI Designer
Opportunity: Working for a leading UK retail brand enticing online customers within a £439b target market
Salary: Competitive
Model: Hybrid (2 days in Nottinghamshire office)
There are some retailers we all know and love, but it’s no secret that in today’s age, without adapting to the technological era, the biggest of brands can fall into ruin *cough* BHS *cough*. This company is one of the clued-up ones, developing an online platform to connect busy people with their favourite household goods.
You’d be joining a tight-nit design team of one other UX/UI designer and a content designer, so the days of waiting for a week for five people to get back to you on a project are well and truly over. For a change, everyone’s actually going to be on the same page, isn’t it fantastic?!
A few essentials:
Maybe you’re currently working for a small company or organisation which you initially thought you were going to take over the world with all together but things have become a bit stagnant and toxic and to make matter worse they’ve stopped serving free fruit in the canteen #tryingtimes. On the flip side, you may be working for a big commercial company with even bigger communication issues within departments.
You see, in theory, massive design teams seem great, you can all wave your cursor paint brushes together and create Atlantis. However, the unfortunate fact of the matter is this is never the reality. So why not have both? Why not work for an established retail brand but within a small, well connected design team? Well now you can do just that.
The role includes many benefits such as:
The head office is based in north Nottinghamshire, but you will only be required to come in 2 days a week maximum– this company are far more interested in who you are rather than where you live!
