Psychology is cool. Tech is cool.
Working for a company that combines both? Now we’re talking!
This company is undergoing huge growth, and substantial change including significant investment in product development and ‘Product’ culture. As part of this they are looking for a Product Owner to join their small team, someone who has ideally worked at a software/SaaS business and is great at working with developers, customers and Product Managers to help deliver an ambitious roadmap.
There’s something about what they do, their culture and the people who work there that tick so many boxes for people. It’s somewhere that hires good and exceptionally smart people, to deliver really cool, people-centred services and software used by some of the most prestigious companies anywhere to be found in the world.
None of the elements of the role will come as a surprise to a existing Agile Product Owner. It’s a fairly standard set of responsibilities: Working with customers, developers, colleagues to develop and enhance their suite of products, utilising qualitative and quantitative data to guide product development and prioritising product features.
However, a key element to this role is being able to say ‘no’! One of the challenges here is that they have a heterogenous client base who all want different things and your job will be to decipher what changes contribute to the overall roadmap and which ones will only benefit a limited number of customers.
You’ll need to be able to navigate existing customer relationships and collaborate with the account management team, using your exceptional people skills to keep things moving forwards.
You can work from home mostly in this role with travel into Birmingham once a month or so to meet with your peers. They have people based as far North as Northumberland, so as long as you are willing to travel into their office monthly you will be fine.
On offer is a basic salary between £45k – £60k + 25 days holiday + share scheme + life cover + 5% pension + more.
